From glitch-hop to IDM, from drum and bass to dubstep, Adam John has produced and remixed a diverse path for himself through electronic music. With previous releases on Shift, Filthy Digital, Tuff Love Dubs, as well as a forthcoming EP slated on Muti Music, Adam's latest production on Theoretic continues to showcase his versatility and skill. Fusing together glitchiness, extreme basslines, hard-hitting rhythms, and melodic tones, these two tracks of his new release provide even further evidence of the aptitude Adam has for his craft.
Wallow, steeped in IDM influence, echos with deep, sketched-out beats and a wistfully warped melody. With reflective rhythms, heavy basslines, and melancholy keys, Adam brings harmony and discord together on this body-moving track.
Change flows along meandering melodies but is punctuated by well-timed explosions of bass. With precision drum programming, this cut erupts with low-end frequencies, while a crystalline melody allows Adam's signature haunting chords to ascend and twist to new heights.
